Role Purpose

Connecting to interdepartmental to gain information Sales plan, Marketing and Supply data for driving business and also balancing inventory risks as customer’s needs.

Drives improvement in our forecasting processes through the use of History sales statistical, Portfolio segmentation, Exception management, Commercial plans (campaigns, promotions) and Assumptions to drive the optimum plan.


Statistical Forecasting, Demand Sensing

  • Manage data integrity and analytics in forecast tool

  • Capture & document assumptions incorporated in historical data and forecast

  • Set up exception forecasting, monitoring and reporting with alerts

  • Coordinate Phase In & Phase out modeling and align/agree appropriate supply response


Forecast Development


  • Coordinate collaboration between Sales & Marketing to build on and agree the consensus sales forecast

  • Support forecast alignment to Drivers and Assumptions (DnA)

  • Forecast variance analysis and reporting

  • Reporting and analytics (KPI’s, Demand Review and S&OP)

  • Review constraints and facilitate creation of Constrained Sales Plan

  • Influence the development of a collaborative/consensus forecast

  • Facilitate agreement on forecast uncertainty

  • Highlight and facilitate agreement on how to manage opportunities e.g. excess stock/capacity etc.

  • Align Campaign Plans, Promotions with forecasts and manage Supply implications


    Communicate Demand


    Manage the decision and communication process surrounding UnConstraints/Constraints

  • Highlights risk for demand & supply imbalances (gap exposure and gap closure )

  • Provide transparency of demand to ensure informed business decision in S&OP

  • Facilitate Demand Review, Pre-S&OP and S&OP


Associated business process


  • Facilitate and coordinate forecasting process improvement initiatives
  • Lead manage product ABC categorization, process segmentation to align with global guided line

  • Interface with Financial Forecasting, Budgeting, S&OP and Production & Supply

  • Support the commercial team in development and management of product allocations


    Technical Expertise

  • Serve as technical expert in matters concerning the forecasting tool, process and system integration and global standards

  • Regularly refresh knowledge and best practices in area of sales forecasting, statistical forecasting, global forecasting system, analytics in line with the Global standards

  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Experience in Sales forecasting, reporting and ERP systems (SAP, APO, MRP etc.)
