Position Summary

  • To review the correctness and completeness of various accounting documents, prepared by subordinates, in order to ensure all accounting activities are in compliance with the GAAP.
  • To coordinate the Annual Physical Count (if any) and Cycle Count of parts and providing relevant information, documents and necessary assistance for such auditors in order to ensure that such audit sessions process in a smooth manner.
  • Prepare & Consolidate in our SAP all necessary information the Thai accounting & finance regulations mainly in regards to: Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, Account payable, Fixed Asset and Depreciation, Inventory and Journal of expenses (COGS/Fixed Asset/Inventory/Logistic/MKT/intercompany charging/OPEX include employee expense)
  • Monthly meeting with the “Accounting outsourcing company(SSC)” for reviewing Balance Sheet consolidation and other accounting consolidation.
  • Directly in charge of the set up & follow up of the COGS/Inventory/Fixed Asset /MKT expenses and OPEX
  • Keep Inventory details and review differences for accountable integration
  • Overseeing the daily activities of the accounting department and ensuring that all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
  • Ensuring that all accounting processes align with GAAP and current financial legislation.
  • Analysis financial data and creating reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties, such as vendors or lenders.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete financial records and participating in audits or reconciliations, as needed.
  • Assisting other departments as they develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions which could have a financial impact on the business.
  • Interface with financial consultants, auditors and government agencies related to financial and accounting issues.
  • To coordinate the Annual and Quarterly Audit Sessions, conducted by the external auditors, through liaising with such auditors and providing relevant information, documents and necessary assistance for such auditors in order to ensure that such audit sessions proceed in smooth manner.

Role and Responsibilities

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages and controls the company month-end account closing through reviewing and verifying all accounting document, provided by subordinates, to ensure accuracy, validity and completeness of such documents prior to transferring into further accounting and reporting process.
  • Coordinates with internal and external auditor by providing relevant information, document and necessary assistance for such auditors in order to ensure that such audit sessions proceed in a smooth manner and comply with the regulation of the Ministry of Commerce.
  • Input all data and verity data to the system (company SAP) on daily/weekly/monthly/yearly basis
  • Develop and update on various reporting summary including P&L, Monthly report including various parameters linked to cost, expense and other tracking files to be determine
  • Analysis accounting data, prepare as well as review financial report and financial statement
  • Supervise accounting team(SSC) members and provide recommendations
  • Establish, maintain and monitor internal controls, company policies and procedures that appropriately safeguard assets and adequately manage business risk.
  • Be the point of contact for the SSC and the various departments at Site such as Procurement, HR, Logistics, Sales, Marketing Site and other finance team.
  • Provide required information and analysis report to related parties
  • Analysis financial data, complies reports and prepares recommendations to management.
  • Give advice related with accounting to officers and formulate information upon request
  • Special projects as assigned by Management.

Specific Duty of Marketing expenses and Intercompany transaction claim(NTS claim)

  • Responsible for receiving and checking the accuracy of invoices from vendors as well as the completeness of supporting documents, resolving discrepancies and Coordinate with SSC to verify and approve AP transaction recording for Marketing expenses and Intercompany claim with Samsung group. Cover transaction of Thailand and IDC.
  • Make sure to confirm GL code, Cost center code, date of receipt of invoice in finance on the face of the invoice, and send to SSC.
  • Verify all expense of Marketing expense and NTS claim with SSC and Forward to the SSC, the documents on supplier rejections or investigate and follow up with BU and SSC for all invoice.
  • Verify data of WHT of operating expense and warranty claim
  • Analysis / review vendor accounts for accuracy and check credit balances,
  • Reconciliation for Marketing expense GL account.
  • Support for month ended closing in FI function for Marketing expense.
  • Comply with financial report and support risk management report e.g. FSCS/DC&P /FHC.
  • Implement and testing NEXT GERP (SAP HANA) project
  • Communicate and document all month end closing entries (accrual and cut-off).
  • Manage Marketing expense and NTS claim to follow-up - in progress and open item, Update SOP and GPPM
  • Support SSC for activity at Site related to Statutory.
  • Support Internal and External auditor e.g. from tax government and auditor

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Require minimum 3 Years experiences will be advantage.
  • Expertise in Finance and Accounting jobs and functions with management and analytical skill.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, principle and generally accepted accounting principle (GAAP)
  • Intermediate level command of English
  • Computer Literacy especially MS Excel is preferable
  • Knowledge in SAP would be advantage.
  • Dynamic person, high responsibilities and working ability to meet the deadline.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and good attitude.
